Pools are scary. My photos don't do this pool, or even pool skating in general, justice. At the flat bottom of the pool not only was there a nice fat circle hole in middle, but there were 4 assorted metal bolts sticking out that they stuck cardboard on so that you could see it and avoid killing yourself. I met up with my friends after they had been seshing the pool for a while. It was already like 8 when i got there, but i still managed to get a few shots before it got too dark to skate. I love summer.
Yes, that is a front crook indy. From deep to shallow end. When i got there Alec was in the process of trying to film this in a fucking line. He landed it perfect at least 5 times.
This guy John G from ZJ's is such a natural pool skater. The bolts (you can see a couple of them at the bottom left) didn't seem to be bothering him at all. Backside slash.
Alec had this backside grind on lock as you would expect. I don't understand how people grind pool coping.
Another view of Alec's backside grind with a better view of all the sketch stuff at the flat bottom.
Who doesn't love Jake? Ski riding all the way to vert and back.
Another angle of Jake's ski ride. Anyone have a better name for that trick?
I kept fucking up when i was taking this photo, I felt bad making John G do it over and over as it was getting darker and darker, but he didn't seem to mind. In the end I still fucked up and got the flash in the shot, but whatever, just look at the epic frontside slash.
It was pretty fucking dark by the time McNulty stuck this frontside 5-0 slash. I think this was the first time he hit real pool coping. Fucking crazy.
